Hardcover. Zustand: Good+. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, beveled green cloth boards with gilt text on spine. Exterior shows some light spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Top spine is a few small tears. The interior hinge at the front board is cracked but the remaining portion is in very good condition. Binding is tight in the rear hinge is good. The only reason this book did not grade as VG or better because of the front hinge crack. Pages are toned due to age but are clean. There is no handwriting or bookplates, no library markings, no signatures, nothing torn or loose.

First Edition. First U.S. edition, issued in two volumes. Bound in blue cloth blindstamped on covers and gilt stamped on spines. Corners and spine ends beginning to fray, volume one shows damp staining to endpapers, volume two with extensive pencil notes to back endpapers, altogether in good or better condition.
