The engraving represents a scene from the bible: reconciliation between Esau und Jacob. The engraving has a double signature in the plate : Martin de Vos inven. (M. de Vos - Antwerpen 1532 -1603). Sadeler execud. Printed on thick un…watermarked paper. Some slight marginal dustsoiling and two small marginal brown spots, but finely preserved. The new Hollstein. Maarten de Vos v. 44 pp. 53-55 (199 - 209) - belongs to a series of 11 engravings.
Oiginal engraving - gravure originale ; mountainous landscape with a large ruined castle and a bear hunt in the foreground.

Margin with a few mino…r stains an thumbing, a crease in the lower margin.
