Congregational Library of Boston, Massachusetts affixed to verso pastedown, embossed library stamps in interior. Dark blue glazed pastedowns. Frontispiece depicting Lord Fairfax engraved by C. H. Jeens, fron the painting by Robert Walker. Interior pages are in good condition, clean and bright, substantial paper weight, slightly brittle edges. The book covers the life, and primarily the miliary campaigns of Thomas Fairfax, the 3rd Lord Fairfax of Cameron (1612-1671), a peer who fought in the English Civil War on the side of the Parliamentarians.
