The first edition of this work, number two-hundred and fifty-nine of three-hundred and seventy-five copies produced.A wonderful collection of poetry from the Sitwell's, the group of three siblings - Edith, Osbert and Sacheverell Sitwell - who formed an identifiable literary group in London between 1916 and 1930. Divided into three sections with divisional half titles, and with contributions from each sibling.Illustrated with a frontispiece, title page vignette, and headpiece - all in colour - alongside a number of further head and tail pieces, all the work of artist and illustrator Albert Rutherston. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail with a touch of fading to front board perimeters. Internally, firmly bound.
