Emilie Lowinsky, an English society hostess and food writer. Lowinsky was good friends of British writers friend of Rebecca West and Raymond Mortimer. Illustrated by her husband, Thomas Esmond Lowinsky, an English painter noted primarily for his portraiture, but he also painted fantasy scenes. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor bumping to the extremities and light discolouration to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot.
