A detailed and comprehensive history of Chester, England, during the Plantagenet and Tudor reigns, with chapters on the Earls of Chester, the castle and mills, St. Werburgh's, the Mayor and his jurisdiction, the walls and gates, social life, the port, and much more. Written by Rupert Hugh Morris, a Welsh clergyman and antiquarian. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine and board edges with the odd mark to the boards. Light loss to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound.
