In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. Hardback. 8vo. pp. xii, 120. Original publisher's light brown cloth lettered green on spine and upper cover. A drama based on the prevalent myth that there had been divine intervention during the First World War, most notably at the Battle of Mons. These sightings took the form of St Joan of Arc, St George and a band of angelic warriors. The author states in his introduction that he wrote the play sixteen years earlier and that during that time, 'It was as though men were living in direct daily contact with great spiritual powers.' He adds that religious faith grew in France after the war. Ernest Marston Rudland (1875 Ð 1958) was a writer and poet. Slightly nicked at head of spine, cloth a little darkened on spine and edges. Light wear otherwise very good.
