Das Einkommen aus dem landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb, das Einkommen aus Familienarbeit und das Einkommen aus landwirt…schaftlichen Investitionen wurde auf Rs. 134178,46 pro Hektar, Rs. 95731,41 pro Hektar bzw. Rs. 122572,24 pro Hektar geschätzt. Im Durchschnitt wurden für den Zuckerrohranbau 774,59 Manntage pro Jahr aufgewendet. Davon wurden 435,26 Manntage (56,20 %) von männlichen Arbeitskräften beansprucht, während 339,33 Manntage auf weibliche Arbeitskräfte entfielen. Die Analyse der Anzahl der Manntage im Zuckerrohranbau ergab, dass männliche Arbeitskräfte eine dominierende Rolle bei Tätigkeiten wie Bodenvorbereitung, Anlegen von Ähren, Jäten, Bewässerung, Saatgutbehandlung und Ausbringung von Düngemitteln spielten. Andererseits hatten weibliche Arbeitskräfte einen größeren Anteil an der Beschäftigung bei der Zuckerrohrernte (51,57 %) und einen beträchtlichen Anteil (43,15 %) bei der Anpflanzung von Beeten. Männliche Arbeitskräfte hatten jedoch auch einen erheblichen Anteil (48,43 %) an der Beschäftigung bei der Ernte.
