The author is not stated to this work, but has been attributed to George Rous. Rous was a lawyer and politician who became Counsel to the EAst India Company and held the post until his death in 1802.ESTC reference no: T108717.In this pamphlet Rous is discussing the conversations in parliament regarding the regulation of the East India Company. Parliament wanted to address the shortcomings of the Regulating Act of 1773 by bringing the East India Company's rule in India under the control of the British government by implementing the 'East India Bill' or 'Pitt's India Act'.
