Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First edition ex-library (lending) hardcover, bound in cream cloth, with brown lettering on front cover, and brown lettering and illustration on spine, is in Fair condition, having a slant to volume, and a small tear at the top of the spine; also beginnings of small tears at bottom spine; rubbing/scuffing to covers and spine; corners bumped and worn; on first fixed endpaper, former owner has pasted a part of the now gone dust jacket which details the gist of the novel; on the first free endpaper is a sticker from the Brooks Pharmacy in Oakland, California (possibly the lending library), and beneath that is written in blue pencil 5 Day Book, and the 5 has been crossed out with regular pencil, and the number 7 has replaced it. Some shaking to volume (especially noticed between the reverse of the half-title page and the title page); some moderate handling wear. This was a well-borrowed volume of the library, and shows much wear. Roswell Williams was the pseudonym of Frank Owen, a prolific American hardcover and pulp novelist in the 1930s. Fiction. Novel. Exploitation. American. DB.
