Ms. Tankersley had just returned to the Reagan's personal law firm in California, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Provenance: The estate of Myra L. Tankersley, Executive Assistant William French Smith at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and later Confidential Assistant when Smith was appointed Attorney General by President Ronald Reagan. Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher was the personal law firm of President Reagan before and during his administration, where Tankersley became a lifelong friend of President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan. She returned to California with Attorney General Smith in 1985. Signed.
