Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - 'The American Nation Yesterday and Today' is a thorough exploration of the historical development and cultural identity of the United States. Written by esteemed educator Rolla M. Tryon, this work offers a detailed examination of the nation's progress, tracing the threads of its past into the early 20th century. The narrative emphasizes the social, economic, and political transformations that shaped the American experience, providing readers with a clear understanding of how historical events influenced the contemporary society of the 1930s.Designed to provide a cohesive view of American history, the book delves into themes of growth, unity, and democratic ideals. It serves as both a historical record and an educational tool, reflecting the pedagogical shifts of its time that sought to make history relevant to the lives of citizens. By bridging the gap between the 'yesterday' of the founding eras and the 'today' of the post-World War I era, Tryon offers a perspective on the enduring spirit and evolving challenges of the American people. This work remains a valuable resource for those interested in the historiography of the United States and the methods used to teach national identity during a transformative period in American history. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
