The author interviews people from different walks of life to try and give the reader a sense of the Country. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket shows some edge wear at the top & bottom of the spine and is a bit dust-dulled and darkened. The hard covers are clean and bright, as are the gilt titles. Inside, the only mark I found is the Author's extensive gift inscription; the rest of the pages and the drawings by the Artist are clean and bright, without toning or foxing.
