A través de los distintos módulos teóricos, se analizará el progresivo abandono, por parte de la esfera política, del campo de las ideas, para introducirse en el territorio de las formas, motivada por la incesante repercusión del campo estético. Debido a esta nueva situación, los publicitarios, asesores de imagen y distintos expertos en marketing, se han convertido en los elementos imprescindibles a la hora de preparar una campaña electoral. Surge así un nuevo concepto de liderazgo político, influido por la decisiva relevancia de la televisión y la publicidad en la opinión pública, que se analizará en los spots electorales, pertenecientes al Partido Popular (PP) y al Partido Socialista (PSOE), durante el período 1989-2000. Además, se ahondará también en la evolución de la imagen política de los dos principales líderes de los partidos señalados, en cada convocatoria electoral, así como su adecuación a los cánones estéticos y comerciales exigidos en cada momento, para lograr su principal objetivo: conquistar el voto del electorado. 775 PP. 30 X 22.
