Distributed by Lyle Stuart, CRUCIFIX was nominated for the 1966 Pulitzer Prize. Uncommon with both the…original band and a drawing. 12.25'' x 8.25''. Original stiff printed printed wrappers covered by illustrated jacket (bound at spine) with original wrap-around band. Pages multicolored throughout, interspersed with four tissue-guarded etchings by Rockmore. From an edition of 3100 copies. 108 pages. Inscribed by Bukowski on leaf opposite colophon: "Charles Bukowski / 3-12-65 / French Quarter / New Orleans, / LA. / 4:31 p.m. / [drawing of a jockey on a horse]." Mild rubbing to extremities. Faint toning. One early page with corner crease. Else bright and sound. Signed.
