The work looks at the structure of the family, the phylogeny, measurements, and different variations within the family. Volume I with seven plates. Volume II with six plates. Illustrated with multiple in-text illustrations. Written by G. C. Robson. Robson started working at the British Museum of Natural History in 1913, working on mollusca, soon becoming an authority on the subject. He published many papers, mostly focussing on Cephalopoda. This 'Monograph' was generally considered to be his most important work.
