Esa es la labor que ha emprendido Robin Kinross con este libro, Tipografía moderna, en el que aún a costa de restringir su mirada a Occidente va saltando de los países a los movimientos culturales y de estos a los tipógrafos para forjar el que con toda probabilidad es el más detallado libro que el lector puede encontrar en la actualidad en los anaqueles de cualquier librería de Europa o América para conocer imprenta, tipografía y tipógrafos en unos tiempos en los que el ordenador parece quererlos erradicar. No se trata tanto de una reivindicación, cuanto de un posicionamiento que ayudará al lector en su mirada propia de la cultura.
