Sometimes a block might love a spot . . . and sometimes a spot might love another spot . . . and sometimes a block or a spot doesn't want to be a block OR a spot AT ALL! What's wrong with that? Why, NOTHING, of course! Let's all say YES in this uplifting story that welcomes diversity and encourages every reader to be whoever they want to be. With four zingy pantones throughout, this is a stylish, graphic take on complex topics of inclusivity and acceptance. Praise for Let's All Say Yes!: "With a graphic, minimalist art style, and printed in bright fluorescent colours, this is an accessible introduction to diversity and inclusivity for very young children." - Harry Woodgate, author and illustrator of Grandad's Camper Includes a FREE Nosy Crow Stories Aloud audiobook! Selig Seidenman Harrison (March 19, 1927 - December 30, 2016) was a scholar and journalist (a former Washington Post Bureau Chief in Northeast Asia), who specialized in South Asia and East Asia. He was the Director of the Asia Program and a senior fellow at the Center for International Policy, and a senior scholar of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He was also a member of the Afghanistan Study Group. He wrote five books on Asian affairs and U.S. relations with Asia. His last book, Korean Endgame: A Strategy for Reunification and U.S. Disengagement, won the 2002 award of the Association of American Publishers for the best Professional/Scholarly Book in Government and Political Science. His opinions on Administration policies often appeared in major newspapers, including The Washington Post and The New York Times. In Korean Endgame, Selig Harrison mounts the first authoritative challenge to this long-standing U.S. policy. Harrison shows why North Korea is not--as many policymakers expect--about to collapse. And he explains why existing U.S. policies hamper North-South reconciliation and reunification. Assessing North Korean capabilities and the motivations that have led to its forward deployments, he spells out the arms control concessions by North Korea, South Korea, and the United States necessary to ease the dangers of confrontation, centering on reciprocal U.S. force redeployments and U.S. withdrawals in return for North Korean pullbacks from the thirty-eighth parallel. Similarly, he proposes specific trade-offs to forestall the North's development of nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems, calling for the withdrawal of the U.S. nuclear umbrella in conjunction with agreements to denuclearize Korea embracing China, Russia, and Japan. The long-term goal of U.S. policy, he argues, should be the full disengagement of U.S. combat forces from Korea as part of regional agreements insulating the peninsula from all foreign conventional and nuclear forces.

He can take a wild, high-strung horse who has never before been handled and persuade that horse to accept a bridle, saddle, and rider in thirty minutes. His powers may seem like magic, but his amazing "horse sense" is based on a lifetime of experience. Roberts started riding at the age of two, and at the age of thirteen he went alone into the high deserts of Nevada to study mustangs in the wild. What he learned there changed his life forever. [H]e tells about his early days as a rodeo rider in California, his problems with his violent horse-trainer father, who was unwilling to accept Monty's unconventional training methods, his friendship with James Dean, his struggle to be accepted in the professional horse-training community, and the invitation that changed his life - to demonstrate his method of "join-up" to the Queen of England. From his groundbreaking work with horses, Roberts has acquired an unprecedented understanding of nonverbal communication, an understanding that applies to human relationships as well. He has shown that between parent and child, employee and employer (he's worked with over 25 0 corporations, including General Motors, IBM, Disney, and Merrill Lynch), and abuser and abused, there are forms of communication far stronger than the spoken word and that they are accessible to all who will learn to listen."-jacket ; beige and green cloth with gold lettering, in color photograhpic dustjacket ; FINE/FINE. Good+/ good+ A solid, signed copy of Rhys Davies' first novel, in the striking original dust jacket designed by his friend, the 'English Cubist' William Roberts. Dubbed 'the Welsh Chekhov', Rhys Davies (1901-1978; OBE) was a prolific and prize-winning author, who chronicled working class life, especially of industrial Wales, and women's lives. Davies met Roberts (1895 1980) through The New Coterie Magazine, published by Charles and Esther Lahr. The artist also produced a portrait of the Welsh author, which featured as the frontispiece to his first book, The Song of Songs, a collection of stories published in the same year. Roberts was a signatory of the Vorticist manifesto and his work featured in Blast; he later referred to himself as an 'English Cubist'. With a printed dedication: "To Charles Lahr," who typed the novel up for Davies. Signed by Author(s).
