In the film, Groucho plays Dr. Hugo Z. Hackenbush, a veteran horse doctor posing as the medical director of Standish Sanitarium, whose young and pretty owner is in danger of losing her mortgage to a ruthless real-estate manipulator and owner of a nearby racetrack, who in turn has plans to turn the hospital into a casino. Enter Groucho, Chico, and Harpo, out to save not only the sanitarium but also the romance between Judy Standish (Maureen O'Sullivan) and Gil Stewart (Allan Jones) , and their own integrity. Final Draft for the 1974 television film, which aired on NBC on March 16, 1974, here under the working title "Boselli's World." Bound in, preceding the script, is a fifteen page Shooting Schedule for December 2-21, 1973 with manuscript red marker annotations noting names and striking dates. Bound in following the script are 26 s…cript pages, replaced by revision pages. Preceding the script is a page entitled "Episode Title Suggestions," implying the television movie was originally intended as a possible pilot for a series which never transpired. Ernest Borgnine stars as tugboat operator Vince Boselli, who along with Della Reese, the owner of a waterfront cafe, clash with a dock foreman trying to change the way things are done on the piers. Orange titled wrappers, noted as FINAL DRAFT on the front wrapper, dated November 16, 1973, with credits for screenwriters Martin Rackin and Robert Pirosh. 132 leaves, with last page of text numbered 86. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated 11/26/73. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.
