He is best known today for having set forth the fundamental moral, sociological, and philosophical principles of democratic institutions and processes. The obverse features the visages of the first three directors of the New School: economist Alvin Johnson, and historians Charles Beard and James Harvey Robinson. The reverse is engraved in honor of MacIver, dated October 4, 1966. In fine condition.
