In den WarenkorbFirst edition, first printing. Two volumes. Signed by the author and editor, Harlan Ellison. Original black boards with titles in gilt, green and purple to the spines, in dustwrappers. 'Dangerous Visions' is illustrated throughout with black and white chapter heading by Diane and Leo Dillon, 'Again, Dangerous Visions' is illustr…ated with black and white chapter headings by Ed Emshwiller. A very good set, the bindings square and firm, the extremities lightly rubbed, the spine tips with very slight bumping. There is offsetting to the endpapers of 'Dangerous Visions' and evidence of a removed bookplate to the front pastedown, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrappers that are lightly faded at the spine and have a few short closed tears at the edges. Not price-clipped ($6.95 and $12.95 to the upper front flaps). Signed by Harlan Ellison in brown ink on the half title of both volumes. A landmark two volume anthology of previously unpublished speculative fiction, much of which challenged taboos within science fiction publishing. The anthologies and the stories within them received many wards: Ellison received a special award from The World SF convention for 'Dangerous Visions' and a special Hugo award for 'Again, Dangerous Visions'; Fritz Leiber's 'Gonna Roll the Bones' received a Hugo and Nebula Award for Best Novelette; Philip Jose Farmer's 'Riders of the Purple Wage' received a Hugo Award for Best Novella; Samuel L. Delaney received a Nebula Award for Best Short story; Ursula le Guin's 'The World for World is Forest' received a Hugo Award for best Novella; 'When it Changed' by Joanna Russ received a Nebula Award for best short story, and 'Again, Dangerous Visions' as a whole won the 1973 Locus Award for Best Original Anthology.
