Zustand: Good. Ken, Inc., 1938., 1938. Good. - Quarto, 13-1/4 inches high by 10-1/2 inches wide. Softcovers, bound in stapled color pictorial wraps, boldly illustrated with the tearful face of a young woman caught in the door-to-door book selling scheme and pyramid. The covers are creased and the spine rubbed. 86 pages, illustrated throughout in color and black and white, including superb full page photographs and biting political caricatures & illustrations, with caricatures & cartoons by Derso & Kelen, David Low, Sam Berman, and Russell Unbach, among others. The corners of the pages are curling in and the centerfold signature is detached but present. Good. A powerful bi-monthly periodical which spares neither the right nor the left with its wartime exposees. Includes Ladislas Farago's "And Now on to Ukraine", on the German invasion of Ukraine, photo spreads of women soldiers of various countries, an article on the housing, health and crime crisis in Los Angeles titled "Los Angeles Suppressed It". Other contributions include a double-page political cartoon by Derso & Kelen titled "Geneva Merry-Go-Round", a double-page caricature by David Low titled "Follow My Leader" portraying Hitler as the pied-piper, a photo-spread on "Inside Football", Sam Berman's color caricature "Will Hays - King of the Jungle" and, of course, some lascivious photo spreads featuring scantily dressed women.
