Gratulationen zum 65. Geburtstag von Freunden, Weggefährten, Kollegen und guten Bekannten erschienen. In der ersten Hälfte des Jahres 2017 sind zu gleichem Anlass, unter maßgeblicher Initiative der LiteÂraturwissenschaftlerin Christina Rossi, sodann zwei Bücher von ihm bzw. in enger Zusammenarbeit mit ihm veröffentlicht worden. Als nachträgliche Ergänzung und Fortsetzung dieser Vorhaben ist dieser Band entstanden. In ihm sind nochmals die Sätze für Richard Wagner in einem etwas aufgelockerteren Format und durch Graphiken desaus Perjamosch, dem Geburtsort Richard Wagners, stammenden Künstlers Walter Andreas Kirchner ergänzt, nachgedruckt. Außerdem sind darin neuere Gedichte von Richard Wagner enthalten. Schließlich sind auch literarische sowie kunsthistorische, literaturwissenschaftliche und essayistische Texte einiger zum engeren Kreis der Literaten und Literaturwissenschaftler zählender Freunde, Weggefährten, Kollegen und guten Bekannten Richard Wagners, die sich bereitfanden, in dem etwas kurzfristig angesetzten Zeitraum, geeignete Beiträge beizusteuern, in den Band aufgenommen worden. Zum Teil handelt es sich um bereits an anderen Stellen erschienene Texte, die allerdings für diese Buchpublikation sehr passend erschienen und daher mit entsprechenden Zustimmungen übernommen wurden. Dabei geht es nicht nur darum, dass das rumänische Banat bekanntlich die Heimat Richard Wagners ist und dass ein erheblicher Teil der Mitautoren dieses Bandes ebenfalls aus Rumänien stammen, sondern dass damit auch eine fortbestehende, sicherlich nicht unkritische Verbundenheit mit diesem Land erkennbar gemacht werden soll. Der Band gliedert sich in fünf Teile. Der erste Teil umfasst die Aufstellung mit den gesammelten Sätzen von Freunden, Weggefährten, Kollegen und guten Bekannten anlässlich des 65. Geburtstags von Richard Wagner. Im zweiten Teil finden sich neuere Gedichte von Richard Wagner selbst. Der dritte Teil versammelt Gedichte und Texte, der vierte Prosa und der abschließende fünfte Teil Essays und literaturwissenÂschaftliche Arbeiten. Im Rahmen der einzelnen Teile sind die Beiträge in alphabetischer Reihenfolge der Namen der Mitautoren angeordnet. Bei der Herausgabe dieser Texte folgten wir dem Grundsatz, den Stil und sprachlichen Eigenwillen jedes Mitautors, soweit dies nur ging, zu respektieren und natürlich auch keinerlei inhaltliche oder sonstige Vorgaben, außer einer gewissen umfangsbezogenen Begrenzung, zu machen. Damit sollte ein möglichst differenziertes und zugleich authentisches Gesamtbild entstehen.
