This edition is a modern facsimile edition with no publication details stated. It was, however, published by Read Books of Alcester, Warwickshire, in 2004. It is a hardbound volume that was not issued with a dust-wrapper. L.C.R. Cameron started life as Louis Charles Richard Jewell, later becoming Ludovick Charles Richard Duncombe-Jewell, and converting also from the Plymouth Brethren to Catholicism. Born in Liskeard, Duncombe-Jewell enjoyed a varied career as soldier, journalist, author and fringe eccentric. He was a founding member of the Cornish Gorsedd, member of the Welsh Gorsedd under the name Bardd Glas, wrote the first known sonnet in Cornish and was secretary of the Celtic Cornish Association besides being an expert on Cornish traditional dress - which he himself had invented. His journalism was respectable and prolific, working for The Times and covering the Boer War for the Morning Post with Winston Churchill. Collated complete.Contains original advertisements at the front and rear of the book on caravans, camping and outdoor living.A writer, a sportsman, a soldier and a journalist, Cameron could write about a variety of subjects as proven with this book on caravans, delving into types and designs, as well as tips on buying, cooking, cleaning and all-round living. Cameron was sympathetic to the Neo-Jacobite revival and believed that Cornwall should be recognised as a Celtic nation. In the publisher's original orange pictorial cloth.
