Recent brown half morocco over marbled boards, with raised bands, gilt-stamped devices, and red morocco title label with gilt lettering to spine. Illustrated by 84 black and white steel engraved plates by Hogarth, including a self portrait frontispiece. A brief biography is included at the beginning, followed by a commentary on all his major works. Binding fresh and firm. Foxing throughout, but with plates largely unaffected, with some occasional water marks. 4to. Illustrated.
