Sound clean very good copy with a few marks to leather, front endpaper excised, bookplate of one Cecil Byshopp…and a note dated 179i in neat sepia ink about the gifting of the book from a Katherine Byshopp. First blank has a modern neat name. Plates and text noticeably clean and bright. Sabin 16584 ( 'The plates are by A.Reid and are early specimens of American art.').

Es fehlt das Frontispiz mit der siegreichen Personifikation Amerikas. The frontispiece with the victorious personification of America is missing. - Ref. to Sabin second edition.
