Pencil writing on front free endpaper, title page and back free endpaper; sticker from previous vendor of book is present on back free endpaper as well. Pages are lightly toned, with some foxing. Bookplate on front pastedown indicates that this book came from the library of Lucia Burton Morse, early American proponent of kindergarten and progressive education, and founder of the Avery Coonley School in Downer's Grove, Illinois; Morse's signature appears on the front free endpaper.
