Title page, 13 pp. No wrappers issued. = A rare thesis, written by the Swedish botanist and zoologist Anders Jahan Retzius (1742-1821), and, as usual, defended by a pupil, in this case Elias E. Nykjörck from Skane (South Sweden), about whom, unfortunately, nothing else is known. The text deals with natural history as the foundation of natural theology. A very good, clean copy. Not in Pritzel.

Junium, 1772. 8vo (20.3 x 12.5 cm). 140 ["279"], [xv] pp. Original blind speckled wrappers. = A rare commentary on Linnaeus' 12th edition of the Systema Naturae (Plantae) written by the Swedish botanist and zoologist Anders Jahan Retzius (1742-1821), who corresponded with Linnaeus. However this work was published anonymously. There are four page numbers on each leaf in the systematical section. Some old pencil ticks in the text, Japanese paper repair to the spine, otherwise a very good copy. Soulsby, 83; Stafleu and Cowan, 9084.

The main part deals with birds (pp. 53-278).
