Edition originale très rare de ce violent réquisitoire contre l'homéopathie. Requin donne d'emblée son avis sur l'homéopathie, indiquant "ce que c'est que l'homeopathie, ce qu'elle prétend et à quoi elle se réduit en réalité". Il précise que, dans le but de remplir consciencieusement sa tâche, il a lu ou relu les "principaux monumens de la littérature homoeopathique" et donne son avis sur Hahnemann, Bigel, Jahr et Griesselich, en citant leurs principaux ouvrages. On trouve ensuite quatre paragraphes : Ce que c'était que le docteur Hahnemann ;Exposé de la doctrine de Hahnemann ; Un mot sur les isopathes et les insufficientistes ; Réfutation des idées de Hahnemann (théorique et pratique). En conclusion, Requin rapproche l'homéopathie du magnétisme animal et de la phrénologie, affirmant qu'il s'agit de trois fausses sciences. Il n'hésite pas à employer le mot de charlatanisme et ajoute qu'il n'y a rien "à sauver du mépris".
