In the original binding of plaited palm-frond strips (?) with a strip of sponge for the spine, no. 268 of a LIMITED EDITION of 800 copies, signed presentation inscription from Gladys Remde on the title-page, with a title and imprint label tipped in at the end, a couple of tiny chips to the edges of this delicate binding, overall a very good copy. *A charming account of the community of Tarpon Springs, Florida, and of the Greek divers from the Dodecanese [the Twelve Islands], who came annually for the sponge harvest. An eccentric binding and attractive provenance.
