Peter 1:3-4 'as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature,'. God revealed Himself to man in the beginning and has throughout history. Many of those that God revealed Himself to He also instructed to write down what He told them. Much of what He said and did in the earth, has been through covenants and promises that He made with different men. We have our Bible, God's Word because of the covenant that God made with Abram, and his seed. Much of our Bible is about Abraham's descendents; and their successes and failures to walk according to the covenants. The New Covenant is given not to eliminate the earlier covenants but to reveal the second Adam, the Son of God, Jesus our Lord. This New Covenant is between God the Father and the Man Christ Jesus our Lord, the seed of the woman, the seed of Abraham and the Son of David. He walked out the covenants and requirements without failure. He also revealed and demonstrated the love and heart of the Father for His creation. When Jesus had completed His ministry, He finished His work, in that He took the necessary punishment to bare our sickness, pains, anguish and sin upon Himself, to and on the cross at Calvary. He also gifted His righteousness to all that believe in Him and trust Him for this new life of salvation. He shed His sinless blood to establish this New Covenant in all that it provides for His heirs. Now all that is required of us, is believe it and receive His grace and promises by faith. So we must read or hear the words of the Covenant, in order to know what we have been graced with now and in the future. Hallelujah! Amen!

The 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers season marked the closing chapter of Jackie Robinsonâs storied tenure with the club, as Brooklyn once again asserted its dominance in the National League. That year the Dodgers edged out the Milwaukee Braves to capture the NL title, demonstrating the resilience of the âBoys of Summerâ core in a fiercely competitive late-1950s pennant race. In the World Series rematch against the New York Yankees, Brooklyn pushed the contest to seven games but ultimately fell short, underscoring both the enduring rivalry and the narrowing margins between the two teams. For Robinson, 1956 thus stands as a final emblem of his dual legacy: a veteran leader still contributing to championship-level baseball and a transformative figure whose decade with Brooklyn had permanently altered the social and athletic landscape of the sport.
