Leatherbound. Zustand: Very good +. xxiii, [2], 26-727, [1] p. 26 cm. Frontispiece portrait and title page engraving. Blue leather binding with gold impressing on boards and spine. All edges gilt. Beautiful board interiors; inside front engraved for Eliza Montell Lycett, April 2, 1888. Cloth free endpapers with some small tears and frayed edges. Some wear to lower edges and spine ends. Free endpapers darkened and discoloured. Some foxing to frontispiece and title. A beautifully-bound American edition of Wordsworth's poetry. Owned by a lady named Eliza Montell Lycett who was born in 1859 in Pennsylvania and died in 1932 in San Diego. The date at the bottom of the inner front board, April 2, 1888, is the date of her marriage to Albert Lang Baily, also of Pennsylvania, so we can assume the book was a wedding gift.
