In den WarenkorbMaroon Cloth, Gilt. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. 26 Original sketches, with descriptive letter-press. The plates, on blue paper, with the accompanying text opposite, documented the vernacular and domestic buildings of Cambridge as the onset of late 19th-century redevelopment cleared large parts of the city of buildings which had stood for hundreds of years. This copy appears to have been rebound in maroon pebbled cloth, with gilt titling, as a Prize for Cycling in 1891. There are some associated ephemera laid-in, the prize having been won by Robert Thurgood Catling, of the Cambridge Auctioneering family. There is some bumping, and edgewear to the covers, with some offsetting to the endpapers, the remainder of the contents in very good condition. [12704/731] Size: 280mm. X 385mm.
