First Edition. UK based mystery set in the light entertainment world of jazz bands in the 1930s. The author was a composer and BBC Broadcaster and host of 'Down Memory Lane'. Interestingly he was the first North American radio host to play the Beatles in 1962. He wrote three mystery novels after a substantial football Pools win allowed him to retire in comfort. Khaki cloth with black titles and motif. Slight spine lean and a little light foxing otherwise a VG copy.
