Top of block dusty else a clean un-marked copy, glassine dust wrapper chipped with some tears and loss on spine. From the intro by Gordon Ray, " 'The Desert Daisy', which is here reproduced in facsimile from the original manuscript in the University of Illinois Library, appears to be H.G. Wells' earliest surviving narrative of any length. It was composed sometime during the period 1878-1890, when Wells was in his twelfth and thirteenth years." The numbered copies were reserved for members of Beta Phi Mu, an addition of 3000 un-numbered copies were printed for general distribution.
