Trade Paperback. Zustand: Very Good Plus. John Moll (illustrator). First Edition. Poems and prose poems by the esteemed stage actress, best remembered for her early role in Lillian Hellman's "The Children's Hour" and her highly-acclaimed tribute shows "Tallullah", "Affectionately Yours, Fanny Kemble", and "Women of the West". ACCOMPANYING LETTER: This was perhaps Helen Hayes's personal copy as it contains a letter to her on Eugenia Rawls's embossed stationery, containing references to Miss Hayes's teaching, to Miss Rawls's poetry book, to her forthcoming appearance on the Joe Franklin Show (to be followed by another "Tallulah" performance), and to responses to her poetry received from such theatre luminaries as Vincent Price, Katharine Hepburn, Mary Martin, and Portland Hoffa. CONTENTS: Biographies; A Moment Ago; A Certain Light; Touching This Shell; In Twilight Swings; A Christmas Greeting; 80 pages, with dozens of beautiful illustrations and a back-cover tribute from Helen Hayes. CONDITION: an unmarked, uncreased Very Good Plus copy with light shelf-wear and a touch of scuffing on the spine edges. The letter, written on both sides in red ink and neatly folded twice, is uncompromised. These rare items are now nestled in a clear, protective polypropylene bag. Signed by Author on Accompanyi.

Laid in is a belly band with blurbs about the book from Mary Martin, Helen Hayes. Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Vincent Price, and Paul Green.
