Rattlebrain was the pseudonym for George Halse, a sculptor, novelist and poet. The tale tells of how a Briton drilled for his fatherland; won an heiress, got a pedigree; and caught the Rheumatism. In a cloth binding. Externally, a trifle rubbed with marks to boards and bumping to head and tail of spine. Ink inscription to front free end-paper dated to 1865. Internally, generally firmly bound with light foxing to pages throughout. Good. book.
