If that is not much of an apology, I may add that some of those who like my verse have asked me whether I would not publish something more in evocation of the country spirit which they were chiefly taken with; and here perhaps their friendly wishes will be gratified." Condition: Good condition. There is tanning to the spine and rubbing to the corners but the contents are in very good order with clean pages. Neat previous owner's inscription to the ffep.
