First Edition. Very good copies both in a later library binding of gilt-blocked green cloth boards, now slightly scuffed and dust-dulled. The (later) endpapers are lightly foxed. There is a very minor scuff to the upper margin of vol. 3 pp. iii-15, with text unaffected; text edges lightly foxed. The text blocks remain remarkably well-preserved overall: tight, clean and with gentle age-toning only at the margins.
