Tones, Fall/Winter Catalog 7.1" from 1989. Three of "The Residents Mole Show" related comics: "The Comix of Two Cities" (First Edition) by Matt Howarth published in 1982, and "Dax Komix Der Zwei Städte" (Limited Edition) by Matt Howarth and D.M. Kister, and "The Comix of Two Cities No. 2" (First Edition) by Matt Howarth, both published in 1983. Three posters: The Residents at the Golden Gate Bridge (black and white, version with the narrow black border), circa 1979. A black and goldenrod Yello poster, promoting their Ralph Records albums "Claro Que Si" and "Solid Pleasure," circa 1981. And a red, yellow, and black MX80 Sound poster, promoting their Ralph Records albums "Out of the Tunnel" and "Crowd Control," circa 1981. Five mailers and flyers: The Residents "Mole Show" (circa 1983), two for Snakefinger's Vestal Virgins (one circa 1986 and one circa 1987), the Big City Orchestra (circa 1988), and Uncle Willie's Eyeball Buddies (UWEB) (circa 1988). Also included in the archive is a circa 1982 black and white "The Residents' Tenth Anniversary!" compilation photograph. A Tuxedomoon "Half-Mute" side one record album label. In den WarenkorbOriginal proof of the album art for UK duo Renaldo and the Loaf's 1983 LP Arabic Yodelling. From the estate of Residents co-founder Hardy Fox. 28x14" sheet, single-sided. Good+ with tear and creasing to left side of sheet, a little chipping along edges, faint dampstain to right margin. Production notes in red ink in margins. Des…cribing the sound of Renaldo and Loaf to those who haven't heard them is difficult; they were always conveyed a mixture of playfulness and inventiveness in their home recordings roughly similar to The Residents and Ween, and were destined to be subject to cult idolatry but not mainstream success. This, their second album, was inspired by Alfred Jarry's classic absurdist play Ubu Roi and the poetry of Baudelaire; not the sort of influences that were going to translate into a hit like "Billie Jean" or "Every Breath You Take." It was released by Ralph Records, The Residents' record label, in the US, but not in the band's home country.
