8.5 by 11 single sheet reproducing handwritten text. Old folds, else a very good example. Needless to say, both Dr. Abernathy and this flyer were survivors. On Monday, June 24, an officer entered Resurrection City to announce that the grounds permit had expired and residents had to leave. Ralph David Abernathy, a key leader of the Poor People's Campaign, stood in defiance alongside the demonstrators. Shortly thereafter, officers began dismantling the fence around the encampment's perimeter. In total, police arrested more than 360 protesters including Abernathy who spent more than three weeks in the D.C. jail.
