This catalogue was produced to accompany the exhibition of artist's books held at The Grolier Club, New York from 16 March to 15 May 1993. The exhibition surveyed the widely diverse achievements in the making of books illustrated by original prints which result from the collaboration of author, artist, publisher, and printer. Sixty-four works were chosen for this exhibition, including books by Louise Bourgeois, Francesco Clemente and Marc Chagall.
