A collection of the illustrations and maps which appeared in several recent editions of Harveys Wine List, designed by John Lewis. John Harvey & Son…s is a brand of a wine and sherry blending and merchant business founded by William Perry in Bristol, England in 1796. Within years of John Harvey joining the business, they had blended the first dessert sherry, dubbed 'cream sherry', which has changed little since 1880 and is known as Harveys Bristol Cream. Containing wood engravings by David Gentleman, an English artist who studied art and painting at the Royal College of Art. As well as decorations by Asgeir Scott Illustrations by Edward Ardizzone, a London born designer, illustrator, commercial artist and fashion artist. With maps by Sheila Waters, a British calligrapher and teacher. Edited by R. S. Don. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Fading to the spine and board edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. The odd small mark to the fore-edge. Very Good Indeed.
