The first edition of this work in a quarter cloth binding with decorative paper boards, and a paper backstrip to the cloth spine. The thirty-ninth "Grove Play", an annual theatrical production written, produced and performed by and for Bohemian Club members. These plays were staged outdoors in California at the Bohemian Grove each summer. The Bohemian Club is a private club which was founded in 1872 from a regular meeting of journalists, artists, and musicians. This play was written by Benjamin Allen Purrington, with music by Charles Hart and four colour illustrations by Albert J. Camille.Collated, complete. In a quarter cloth binding with decorative paper boards. Externally, excellent with just a little shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
