Manca ab origine, come in tutti gli esemplari riscontrati, un frontespizio a stampa. Ogni biografia di un personaggio celebre della storia è inquadrata entro bordure plurime incise ed è preceduta dal ritratto del biografato. Bell'esemplare, malgrado la suddetta lacuna iconografica. Edizione originale, apparsa in complessive 18 livraisons fra il 1787 e il 1789.
