Softcover. Zustand: Very Good. An extensive but broken run of 110 issues of the member newsletter (not the quarterly journal, The Private Library) for the Private Libraries Association, beginning with Exchange Lists that then evolved into, and combined with, a formal and more substantive Newsletter. These provide a view into the interests and activities of this bibliophile organization over a period of about 50 years. This group of issues consists of the following: [A] Exchange List No. 22 (July 1961)-26, 29 (January 1963), 6 issues. Up to 4 pp. of 13 x 8 in. issued in typescript mimeographs and containing lists of books wanted and offered, plus bits of miscellaneous notes to members. [B] Exchange List No. 32 (Oct 1963), 33, 36, 39-41, 43, 46, 48, 50, 51, 53, 55, 56, 63 (Winter 1971/2), 15 issues. About 4-9 pp., most about 5 pp.; small fomat of 10 x 8 in. typescript mimeographs. [C] Newsletter No. 74 (Summer 1975), 78-83, 85-90, 92-94, 96-98, 100-102, 104-108, 110, 112, 113, 119-123, 125, 126 (Winter 1989), 36 issues. Most about 4-5 pp. 11.5 x 8.25 in. xeroxes. These now contain more content relating to PLA's activities, in addition to the Exchange Lists. [D] Newsletter No. 128 (Summer 1990), 130-140, 142-149, 151-153, 155-159, 166, 168-175, 178-181, 183, 184, 187-190, 192-196, 198, 199 (Summer 2013), 53 issues. All are 8.25 x 5.75 in. (+/-), some are three sheets folded, most are stapled; most recent issues up to 16 pp. Professional offset printing commences with issue 140. Interspersed among these are Annual General Meeting notices and agendas, and some financial statements and supplements. Generally very good to fine; a few issues with ink notations or separated pages; a couple with light stains. Earlier issues (through no. 126) have lateral mailing folds.
