Titelbladet og omslagets indersider plettet, * I 1811 gav Frederik VI efter for et længe formuleret ønske fra Norge og oprettede et universitet i Christiania, Det Kongelige Frederiks Universitet. Navnet beholdt Oslos nuværende universitet i en årrække efter rigernes adskillelse i 1814. I et af indslagene betegnes kongen som Frederik den Vise. Det tilnavn slog aldrig an. Med bidrag af bl.a. 82 bind. Johan Frederik Schultz, København 1785-1805. Indbundne i uniforme halvbind af kalveskind. Bind 2 og 4 afviger desværre i noget mørkere bind. * Uhyre sjældent komplet sæt af Minerva, det vigtigste dansk-norske organ for de liberale politiske og kulturelle tendenser, der gjorde sig gældende i slutningen af Oplysningstiden og som ekko af ideerne fra den franske revolution. Tidsskriftet blev grundlagt af Christen Pram og Rahbek, der begge var centrale medlemmer af Drejers Klub, den nye borgerlige offentligheds væsentligste forum i København. Tidsskriftet er både i samtiden og siden blevet anset for at være en slags husorgan for klubben og dens borgerlige fremskridtstro og udtalte oplysningsvenlige opinion. Tidskriftet indeholder information og debat om litteratur og samfundsforhold, men bringer også nyheder fra det store udland, selvfølgelig ikke mindst om begivenhederne omkring den franske revolution. Fra 1790-1793 blev det redigeret af Pram alene, fra 1794 til 1798 af Rahbek, fra 1798-1799 af Rahbek og Peter Collet og fra 1799 til 1808 af Rahbek alene. Fra 1806 til 1808 fortsatte det under navnet Ny Minerva. Som så meget andet godt og fremskridtsvenligt bukkede Minerva under for krigstid og lavkonjunkturer efter Københavns bombardement i 1807, men den utrættelige Rahbek sprang på hesten igen og udsendte fra 1815-19 Dansk Minerva i 8 bind.* Vedlagt: 'Almindeligt Register over Tidsskriftet Minerva fra dets begyndelse med Julii Maaned 1785 til det 18de Aarhundredes Udgang' [280 sider, samtidigt, lidt slidt halvbind af kalveskind.
