The Etonian was a paper containing articles and fictional works, projected and edited by Winthrop Mackworth Praed and Walter Blount, which appeared every month until July 1821,… when the chief editor, who signed his contributions "Peregrine Courtenay," left Eton. These volumes contains issues from the paper, with works entitled: Rhyme and Reason, On Wordsworth's Poetry, Solitude in a Crowd, A Windsor Ball, Godiva: a Tale, and many more. With contributions from writers, editors, and critics, such as Henry Nelson Coleridge, William Sidney Walker, and John Moultrie. Edited by Winthrop Mackworth Praed, an English politician and poet, Walter Aston Edward Blount, a British officer of arms. Bound in full calf with gilt. Externally, smart with rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Fading to the spine and board edges with minor loss to the head of the spine of volume three. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with light scattered spotting. Age toning and further spotting to the endpapers with a contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
