Portwin, here writing under his wife's name Elizabeth Portwin, Known for the children's science fiction story "The Boy in the Moon" published in 1945,and The Werewolf story "The Limping Wolf", And "Death Swamp & Other Stories" & "The Zero Ray Terrors",etc, This children's story tells of The carrot folk who live in the centre of the earth and who operate a big machine that keeps the world spinning, and what happens when the machine stops. I can find no copies of this particular title recorded in any of the main institutional library collections.
