Endowed with the collective knowledge of fifteen contributors including Eric Parker, Leslie Sprake, and J. C. M. Nichols, it contains specific chapters on the shooting and preservation of various birds, hare drives, punt gunning, and the legal aspect of shooting. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with slight discolouration of the cloth and some minor handling marks. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. Front hinge strained. Bookplate to the recto of the second page of publisher's advertisements to the front of the work resulting in paste action, visible to its verso. Internally, binding is a touch strained at the centre. Pages are a trifle age toned however generally bright and clean with mild spotting to the outer leaves. Very Good Indeed. book.

Spines slightly faded. The odd slight handling mark to boards and spines. Slight offsetting to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Hinges slightly strained in places, but holding firm.
